Exterior or "Maintenance" Release Window Guards are an alternative for those who don't need an Emergency Exit, but would still like to have access to the window for cleaning and maintenance.
Fixed Exterior Release Window Bars and Guards are used when the window needs to be temporarily uncovered for window cleaning and maintenance. Tamper-Proof security bolts are easily removed from the outside, allowing the window guard to hinge outward.
The left photo shows a Fixed Exterior Release Model in its Open/Uncovered position.
Slide-Bolt Exterior Release Guards act the same as a Slide-Bolt Release, but like Fixed Exterior Releases, the entire window guard (frame and all) can be un-bolted and hinged outward.
